Colon Hydrotherapist

My name is Hollace Burnett-Simmonds, I am a wife and mother of 4 adult sons. I was born on the small Island of Barbados. It is where I developed an interest in plants and nature. I am a non-conventionalist and I take a holistic approach to living. As a vegan, I harvest most of my own organic vegetables, fruits, honey, and medicinal plants. From 2008-2018 I was employed as a Diet Aid and Diet Tech within the Region of Durham. During this time, I gained a significant understanding of Nutrients and their impact on the body. This awareness pushed me to further explore different elements of plants and their healing properties. Through my personal research and many nutrition conferences, I discovered the link between food and wellness.

My desire to help people experience a better quality of life led me to colonics. I enrolled at The Canadian School of Colon Hydrotherapy where I gained my colonic certification. In 2018, I decided it was time to fully pursue one of my lifelong dreams. I dove headlong into herbology and apothecary. While in my spare time you will always find me reading research literature, planting, harvesting or setting some kind of tincture, the opportunity to join the Colon Hydrotherapy Center at the Miranda Naturopathic Clinic is the opening of yet another chapter to which I am very much looking forward to. I deem it an honour to be part of this evolving healthcare team.

Colon Hydrotherapist

It is an awesome and satisfying feeling as a colon hydrotherapist to be allowed to help clients regain or maintain a proper healthy microbiome in the gut which is crucial for wellness for the whole body. My journey and interest in natural healing started from the time I was young growing up in the Caribbean. My passion for healthy nutrition intensified after having my family (4 children).

In 2012 – I enrolled in the Canadian Healthcare Association where I completed my certification in Food Services and Nutrition Management; and I later worked as a Dietary Aide in the Durham Region for 7 years. In 2021 – I graduated as a certified Colon Hydrotherapist at the Canadian School of Colon Hydrotherapy. In 2023 – I received my Diploma as a Chartered Herbalist.

I love to listen to my patients and educate them on natural ways of healing. I aspire to be that therapist who encourages every one of them to make even small changes that will help their bodies to heal naturally.

It is an honor to join this wonderful team at Miranda Naturopathic Clinic through the avenue of Colon Hydrotherapy which has opened up new opportunities in healthcare to restore and maintain the proper microbiome of the gut.
